Harry A Naylor Jr. started working in the ag industry in 1975 as the farm manager at our current Clear Spring Road farm for the Sobota Family. He then went out on his own and started a wholesale produce business, growing and delivering strawberries, apples, and peaches directly to stores from his own farm. In later years, he returned to the Sobota farm, which he leased and built the current packing house. Chad grew up helping on the farm and begin working full time with Harry in 2001. At the time of his death, Harry and Chad were running several farms as well as the wholesale produce business.
In 2009, Harry's son Chad, took over the family business after his untimely death. At that time, Chad and his wife Erin purchased the first farm, the current Quaker Valley farm, where they live with their 2 children, Hannah and Chad Jr. Carrying on Harry's dream, Chad was able to purchase the Sobota property and has expanded the farm to over 100 acres, specializing in wholesale produce while adding pick your own strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and soon to come blueberries and sweet cherries. Chad is fortunate enough to have the support of his family, who all help on the farm when they're not busy with work, school and sports.
Chad and his family have taken a special interest in Pick Your Own farming and have branched out in operation. In the strawberry season, you can find thousands of delicious strawberries just waiting to be picked. Check back often, as the Naylor's are adding many fruits to their pick your own patches!
